Throw a storm into an electric cage

Zapcage is a fast arcade roguelite for Android. Charge up a storm, aim with one thumb and fire it into a cage of live wire. Every round lasts under three minutes, and the shards you collect make the next one stronger.

How it plays

  1. Charge and aim

Hold to charge the storm, and slide your thumb to aim.

  2. Let go

The storm ricochets off the electric walls and bursts shapes into sparks and shards. Swipe to throw it around between shots.

  3. Grow and go again

Spend your shards on a giant upgrade tree, and start the next round with one tap.

As you level up during a round, you pick a perk card: bullets, rings of fire, acid trails, spinning blades or quakes.

Always growing

Something gets stronger after every round. The upgrade tree has branches for power, speed, size, the electric net and more. Ten areas each have their own rule, like a slow current that carries everything around.

Wardens guard the way forward. Each one you lose to is a little weaker the next time, so every wall gives way in the end.

  • Over 250 upgrades in the tree
  • Ten areas with their own rules
  • Wardens that wear down
  • Goals to chase between rounds

Fair play

The game is free. Optional short videos give a bonus: ten more seconds against a Warden, double shards after a round, or new perk cards. You choose if you want one. They are never forced.
